Well, I have great news! Actually, I have good & bad news;(

So, I will give the bad news first. The baby bunny died overnight;( The little buggers! Bunnies are really discouraging me. . . I had several released but somehow it doesn't help when one dies;(

On the other hand, I spoke with "Chuckie's Mom" and she has chosen me!! I am so danged excited;) LOL Ok .. who else gets excited of a NR woodchuck?? LOL Especially one that is "special needs"?? (teeth care) LOL ME!! :) hehehee Tomorrow we will be driving several hours. . . several! hours to pick Chuckie up.

I have called to request my paperwork from the DEC & am awaiting its arrival.


I really should get to bed. . . tomorrow we have to be up & ready to go when Jaymz gets home from work!! :)

--- Well I didn't make it to bed. . . here it is 2:31 am & I am still awake! (Thurs am!)

I want to add about the kids . . . Dariyn had her follow-up dr app yesterday (Tues the 7th). Well they had her IN as a check-up. . . no it was supposed to be a follow-up. . . so she was scheduled to see the same dr as when she went 2 wks ago. . which I would not schedule her check-up with. He is nice & ok, I just would rather her see her dr or one we'd seen before.

Anyways, she has to keep a new journal about her headaches. More detail. ugh. She goes in a month to her dr. She was also a bit irritated & got a cream . . the pharmacy didn't have it, so they had to order it. Should have been in this afternoon, but I forgot to stop. So, I will check Friday afternoon.

Then, our dr. . . sent Jaymz a bill for his app! They said we don't have them as his PCP (we recently changed him over). It's like $130! So, he talked to wellcare today. They are kind of a part of medicaid - we have to be in a "managed plan" on M. So she said they should NOT have sent us a bill at all, because we are on medicaid. She said dont pay it & let them know they ARE down (since 7/1) as his PCP. I will do that tomorrow (Friday tomorrow:) LOL

Think that is all .. . for now. . .that I can remember anyways! So I will end here again. . .for good this time for tonite;) LOL!

Where to start today?

Well, I guess I will start with Funny bunny. I spoke too soon. Yesterday Funny bunny died:( I am not sure why as she was doing really well. But, it could have been anything, maybe antibiotics weren't given long enough, or maybe it didn't get rid of infection, or maybe she just gave up:( Unfortunately bunnies do that easily.
It was terribly disappointing & sad:( We buried her.

This morning I got a call from Robin. A new baby bunny. uuuuu these bunnies are killing me!! This one is teeny tiny (38g)! About the size of the other 3 she had brought me, but this one looks "plump". So, I guess we'll see how it does.

Then, I called the gal back about the woodchuck. I spoke with her about all the research I had done. I have a couple gals who cared fr long term or non-releasable woodchucks & were wonderful enough to share info with me. I also called my vet (that said he would see stuff for me) but today is his day off, so I left a message. I hope that he will call me back soon. I want to talk to him about the woodchuck & I will need to take him in for a visit when I get him. I also called the DEC to ask for the paperwork to have him. So that should come this week. Then I will just have to get it sent in (if she decides on me) & see what they say. The gal is going to think about what we talked about today & call me back in the AM. So. . . . . we'll see how it goes!!! Wish me luck getting the license!!

Well, it's been a crazy few weeks here. My daughter's betta died on the 11th, as well as 1 of the bunnies. We went & released the other 4 as they were all doing well, eating & all well, but stressing a lot being held in captivity. They were jumping around & bumping themselves all over their cage. So I felt the best thing for them was release. The one bunny that died, did have something wrong with it. I don't know if it was stepped on or what, but there was something wrong with his backend. I didn't notice it at first, all though, thinking back (when i noticed his behavior) when I picked them up, he was laying strange.

So, that is 4 more baby bunny releases - totalling 6 this month.

I made some bad decisions & ended up with an overdrawn account that has trickled through the last 3 wks!! UGH!! It is working out now, so things with that are FINALLY getting back on track!]

I got in a new bunny Thurs evening. He is bigger than the little puff balls I have been getting. Bad thing is, he was caught by a cat! Robin was kind enough to bring me antibiotics. Bunny is eating well & drinking, & so far so good. He doesn't has as bad of injuries as I have seen, but with rabbits, you can never tell. They just like to die whenever they feel like it;( But, for now, it's holding its own & doing well. The little boy was cute - he asked me if when I made it better if he could have it back! lol I had to let him know I had to let it go if/when it recovers.

Um . .. Guess that is all now! I updated my needs in my wish list in my website have been working on making changes. I also added a mailing list that I will send notices out to people when I update, add pics, etc to my site;) Join me there;)

Today I had planned to send home several FT's, as their 2 wks has been done Friday, however, this morning, I was really busy trying to save that little bat! He was so dehydrated & took a turn for the worse!!

My efforts were fruitless though, as he passed away!! I was so sad!

In the midst of that, I got a call to pick up 5 baby bunnies that someone dropped off at an animal hospital sometime over the weekend. . . We drove 2 hrs to get the baby bunnies - AND 2 hours home. . . I am hoping for the best with them!!

I ended up with a migraine:( It was unbearable hot & not such a great day for a 4hr drive :P"

This evening, we went outside & took a few more photos around the yard. We went out to watch the bats flying for bugs.

Today, we headed off to the Post Office. We sent a flat traveler back home & got some new visitors too!


After going to the post office, we went to release the bunnies.

We went to Walmart and to Gma & Gpas. We had dinner there & the kids played & had fun.

Okay. . . well today was a ROUGH LONG BORING day!!

Jesse, Rayna & I were headed to my parents. Kymberlee & Dariyn were already there. However, about 10-13 minutes from home, we had a car problem!! At the time, I had no idea what happened. This was approximately, 1:30pm. We JUST got this car 30 days before (end of May) . . and this is our first time purchasing a "new-to-us" vehicle from a "place" - instead of through a private person-to-person purchase.

So, I called home - which was hard too because I wasn't getting a signal well on my cell phone! Anyways, I called Jaymz at home & he called the place. They said they would send the tow truck out as soon as he got back - as he was out on another call. I also called my mom to tell her we would be who knows how long & what happened.

So, we waited.



and waited.



and waited.



and waited.


At 2:30, still no truck. . . My parents came & got Jesse & Rayna so they didn't have to sit in the hot car with me & wait. . BOY It was warm today! It kept looking like rain. . . but held out. They got there about 2:30 to pick them up.

And I continued to wait.



and wait.



and wait.



and wait.


Around 3:40 or so it rained. I was so happy! LOL! Me & the flats were hot in the car & MORE than tired of waiting!

and wait.

FINALLY, at 5pm the tow truck shows. I think they are just taking me to Kingston - to the place I got the vehicle (about 40 mins from where I was) & NO - they are taking me to Poughkeepsie, which is across the bridge from my house (down the road @ 40 minutes from my mom on her side of the river). From where we are & the way we were going, it would take us an hour & 1/2 to get to the place.


The tow truck guy says. . . Is someone picking you up? And I'm like no - I have no Car - I NEED a car. . So he calls. . . and they work out a loaner. . . (um yea I had the car just barely a month!) We get there at 6:30 & I finally get to head back up to my parents.

(We live across the river from them - takes about an hour from our house to get to theirs). I get their at about 7:15pm. Mom & I have tea. We visit a little bit & then we head home. .


By that time I am tired, and pretty miserable. . . with a well-set in migraine! :(
We left there at about 15 to 8pm. I had a call earlier about a bunny so we stopped by home, got dad & headed to Newburgh to meet a lady & get another baby bunny.

Finally got to her at 9:20pm!

Got home at 10:30pm.

And the bad didn't end there. . . When we got home, 2 of my baby bunnies were dead!! I was so upset! I had kept these little buggers going for 2 wks!! So, I decided right then I was letting #3 go the next day! I wanted to give him a chance back in the wild. I let his friend go with him, as there didn't seem to be any need for me - He moved ok, ate & wasn't dehydrated.


The end of a LONG, Bad day. . . . What a day!! :(
