Groundhog Day Celebration!

Chuckie the groundhog. This Saturday, February 2 at 10 a.m., join the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum to celebrate Groundhog Day at the Outdoor Discovery Center, 20 Kenridge Farm Drive, Route 9W, Cornwall. Chuckie, a live groundhog, will be at the museum. Will he see his shadow? There will be music and a Master of Ceremony. Those who attend will learn interesting facts about groundhogs: such as groundhog biology, lifecycle and hibernation habits. Each participant will create a groundhog craft and sing groundhog songs. Tours start every half hour and are a 45-min walk through the field and forest, stopping at points of interest to learn aspects of making maple syrup. Wear boots and dress warmly.
